Personal Data Protection Principles
AEON (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD (“AEON Cambodia”) understands that Customers’ privacy and the security of personal data are extremely important and commits to handle Customers’ personal data properly and continues to contribute to Customers’ secure and prosperous daily life, on the basis of the “AEON Basic Principles” of pursuing peace, respecting humanity and contributing to local communities, from the Customer’s point of view at its core. AEON Cambodia respects the privacy of individuals with regard to personal data which formulates the personal identity and values as well as humanity, and strive to carefully handle personal data AEON Cambodia holds about customers with security. Furthermore, AEON Cambodia aims to establish reliable relationship with AEON Cambodia’s regional communities.
1. Personal Data Protection Principles
AEON Cambodia is conducting following efforts to ensure basic policy of personal data protection:
- Executives and all employees comply with laws, regulations and internal regulations on personal data.
- AEON Cambodia will request suppliers and related parties for cooperation to protect personal data.
- AEON Cambodia will make this policy available for viewing at any time by posting it on Site.
2. Handling Personal data
- AEON Cambodia will clarify the purposes of acquisition, usage and sharing of Customers’ personal data when it is acquired. AEON Cambodia will use the acquired information only within the scope of such purposes.
- AEON Cambodia will promptly and properly respond to requests of disclosure, correction, and cessation of personal data and its use within a reasonable amount of time.
- AEON Cambodia will properly handle personal data in order to secure Customers’ personal data from unauthorized access, loss, alteration and leakage or other forms of misuse of personal data.
The Customers’ personal data/ information will be used for following purposes:
- To deliver or have courier partner deliver that customer have purchased from the Site.
- To respond to product orders and sale of products or accessories regarding Customers, including the case of using it for clothing alteration;
- To implement maintenance service and repair for a product purchased by Customers;
- To provide procedure and services based on insurance and product warranty etc. regarding Customers;
- To register various membership services for Customers and to provide benefits through membership services including but not limited to benefits provided from services program;
- To provide or update Customer with relevant product information such as marketing and/or promotional materials from time to time.
- To introduce various event such as exhibitions, seminars, contests, prize event and various events or to guide the commercial facilities to Customers;
- To achieve the objectives of the questionnaires regarding the questionnaire to Customers;
- To conduct sales promotion and marketing;
- To record contents of calls with customers and taking pictures at stores is for crime prevention or confirmation of claimed contents;
- To settle accounts etc.; and
- To keep, maintain and manage data of all our customers as well as to share, transfer and consolidate the acquired Customer data amongst the AEON group.
AEON Cambodia may acquire and use Customers’ personal data as specified above, and will keep Customer’s personal data required by laws or relevant for the purposes for which it was acquired.
